Next Meeting
We meet the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm. Meetings have no fixed time limit, but usually last until around 8:00-8:30 pm.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, August 14th, 2008.
The following meeting will be Thursday, September 11th, 2008.
In August, we will have a presentation on FreeNAS. A distribution/package which makes easy work of setting up a file-server for home or work. It is based on the FreeBSD operating system (to be accurate, not Linux but Unix.) It supports Windows shares, FTP, NFS and many others. If time permits, some recent linux distributions may be previewed, such as Mepis and PC-OS 2008. Other topics may be discussed as well, given time and interest.
In September, we will have a presentation on using MythTV and TVTime for video monitoring applications.
If you have specific ideas for topics to be discussed, please email the list and we will work on your suggestion.

The meeting is held at the Swearingen Engineering Center on the USC Campus. The building is located at
