On Thursday Feb 10th 2011, ColaLUG met at the new IToLogy building at the corner of Gervais and Sumter in Columbia. This is an exceptionally nice location. Photos of the site have been posted at the ColaLUG Google Photos site. Todd Lewis was kind enough to provide refreshments (soft drinks and pizza) for us, and seeing how little was left over, they were apparently very thoroughly appreciated!
Tom Sightler gave a very interesting presentation on Nagios and Mon, two system-monitoring and alerting suites. Nagios is the more elaborate and capable of the two, while for many simpler situations, Mon would be sufficient. Tom's presentation is available Here.
